In the very rudimentary sense, the point of birth control is simply to prevent fertilization of the male sperm and the female egg. There are a host of methods by which this is achieved; some of which are temporary measures (e.g. use of condoms, use of contraceptive etc.) while others are permanent (vasectomy). Regardless of these various methods available today, there is only one method that is considered foolproof and offers 100% guarantee on non-conception, and that is abstinence. Abstinence is a form of natural birth control which is termed thus because of the total lack of mechanical, biological or chemical use to prevent conception. It simply requires that no sexual coitus is made between opposite sex thereby effectively eliminating any chance of conception in such a situation.
