Recent report by the National Academies’ Institute of Medicine revealed that virtually America is a sleepless nation 70 million strong! Report says about 50 to 70 million people fight with sleep problems. United States Surgeon General said that sleeplessness and sleep disorders contribute $15 billion in health care expenses. Similarly sleeplessness cost $50 billion in productivity loss. Sleeplessness can cause psychological and physical problems. The problems range from daytime sleepiness to immune system weaknesses. In long term sleeplessness can cause problems such as memory problems, depression, impairedness in work and irritability.
